Podcasts

So last Thanksgiving I was driving to the beach and couldn’t seem to pick up anything on the radio on my way.  I usually don’t listen to any talk radio, but I ended up on NPR and couldn’t stop listening to this show, Car Talk.  These guys are really funny and you can learn about cars as a bonus.  I a little while later I found my Ipod shuffle, connected it to Itunes (which I hardly used at all a while ago), and found NPR: Car talk.  Now instead of having to listen to Car Talk on either Saturday or Sunday, I get it as a podcast.  If you’ve never heard Car Talk, you need to.  It can provide an hour of entertainment every week (their show is about 50-55 minutes weekly).  I enjoyed Car Talk to much that I now have added NPR: Wait Wait don’t tell me, and NPR: Stuff you should know.  What is nice about all of these podcasts is that you only need an Ipod and computer to get these.  Downloading these shows are 100% free.  So instead of listening to music I have subscribed to 3 – 4 podcasts that I listen to.  In my opinion, much better than music.
